Vehicle description
This is a two owner 1967 Dodge D100 with a fairly rare combination of a 383 big block, automatic trans with dash shifter and power steering. The truck was purchased from the original owner earlier this year. It was purchased new at Bill Breck Dodge here in Tucson, Arizona on 10/10/1967 and I do have the original truck identification card issued by the dealership and the original Certicard issued by Chrysler Corp. The truck has never left the Tucson area. The right front fender appears to have been replaced many years ago but otherwise it is all original paint/patina which looks very cool. The truck has a new water pump, thermostat, bottom radiator hose, high dollar aluminum radiator, alternator, rear shocks, battery, wheel cylinders, brakes and valve cover gaskets. Fresh oil/filter change less than 100 miles ago. Carb has a flat spot when cold that you have to feather through but otherwise runs very strong and will fry the tires. The original owner had a fuel tank in the bed for his equipment as he had a landscape company so that"s why there is a hole in the side of the bed for the fuel filler. The bottom of the bed is not all wavy like most of these vintage trucks and only has surface rust. Doors all open and shut fine and windows roll up and down as they should. 1967 was the first year of safety requirements on vehicles such as emergency flashers, padded dash and seat belts and this truck has all three with working flashers. Working lights include turn signals (and turn signal cancels), head lights (high and low beam), brake lights, running lights and interior dome light. Dash lights do not work and I have not looked into this yet and may just be a fuse. The tailgate opens and shuts well. The body has some bumps and bruises but minimal rust. The only rust issue is the floors which need replacing, as is typical of these old Dodge trucks. The seat also needs to be redone but is firm and comfortable to drive as is. The original radio crackles to life but the original speaker is fried so I"m not sure if it picks up stations or not. In summary, this truck is a blast to drive and gets plenty of looks and thumbs up. Tires are newer and I don"t see any reason why this truck wouldn"t make a long drive. I drive it around town all the time and it starts right up and goes through the gears just fine. The power steering works great and it"s a nice option to have on these old trucks. Please remember this truck is over 50 years old now and it does not drive like a modern vehicle. It will need some things taken care of but is a super cool patina"d driver that you can use as you restore to your taste. These trucks are shooting up in value and the reserve is set very reasonable for a truck in this condition. I do reserve the right to end the auction at anytime as I may be listing this truck in local media as well so it could sell at any time. I can store the truck for a reasonable time at no charge to allow the buyer to arrange shipping if needed. There is a $500 deposit due within 24 hours after the auction ends with balance due within 7 days. Check my feedback and the pictures and bid with confidence. Please ask any and all questions BEFORE bidding. Thanks for viewing my auction and good luck!
