1967.5 Datsun 2000 Roadster SRL311-00494 “The Holy Grail” Extremely rare. Only 1,000 manufactured. Few remain. Rarely for sale. This is the Real Deal!
2 liter overhead cam engine. Matching numbers. Factory non-smog. 135 hp. 5 speed manual transmission. Beautiful paint. Beautiful chrome. Complete mechanical freshening by Les Canaday of Classic Datsun Motorsport. Runs and drives AWESOME! Black porthole hardtop with rolling storage rack. White “Power Scoop” hardtop with rolling storage rack. Original soft-top still in good condition. Full tonneau. Soft-top boot. Cloth seats. Very comfortable. (New OEM-style seat upholstery included.)
Silver exterior. Black interior. Factory parcel straps. Original seat belts with shoulder straps.
Factory headrests. Visors included but not installed. Ever Wing driving/fog lights. NOS OEM windshield. Owners manual. Shop manual.
Antenna key. Original "Nissan Motor" key. (Works doors, trunk, ignition and console.)
Original locking chrome gas cap.

LOF last fall. No miles since. Trumpet exhaust tip. Chrome license plate trim.
Too many extra parts to list. Lots of NOS OEM parts. Also, see photos for an idea of the lot. Several boxes worth. I bought, collected and saved parts, even if I didn’t need them at the time, just in case they became unavailable. Here are a few: OEM style seat upholstery by Distinctive Interiors. KYB GR-2 gas shock absorbers. Rebuilt starter. Mechanical parts. Wiring harness. Interior parts. Gaskets and filters. Misc. trim pieces. etc., etc., etc. Odometer shows 44,829 miles and it looks and drives like an honest 44,829 mile Roadster but the true mileage is unknown. I was told that it was in covered storage for 25 years (1970 to 1995). I’ve driven this Roadster only a few thousand miles since I bought it in 2006. The prior owner had it for about 11 or 12 years.
Clock doesn’t work. Original radio turns on but reception is weak. Dash has cracks and piece of plastic on top has flaked away. Wipers work but washer doesn’t. Several trim screws and a few soft-top twisties missing. (Maybe with misc. parts.) One seat recliner plastic ball is missing but have replacements. Minor rust here and there but nothing that concerned me or Les.
This Roadster isn’t perfect but is very presentable. Also please keep in mind that while this Roadster has been very well maintained it is 52 years old and has not had a concourse level restoration. But all the major ($$$) mechanical stuff has been done. Enjoy it as is or take it to the next level. Since 1975 I have owned numerous Datsun Roadsters, including 3 ’67.5 2000s, and this is by far the best driving one of the lot. Clean Washington State Title. Sold AS IS.
