I have up for sale my 1967 Chevrolet Camaro coupe.
The car is a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro coupe. It"s a factory Granada Gold car with factory gold interior. This car has been completely restored. It"s an older restoration, but the car still shows extremely well due to the fact that it has been garage kept for well over 20 years and driven on a limited basis.
I purchased this car from good friend of almost 40 years. He owned the car for over 10 years. As I describe the car I"ll tell you the history of it as I know it: So about 10 years ago a good friend of mine decided that he was in the market for a Musclecar. His search turned up this Camaro so we took a Saturday afternoon and went to meet the owner. I went with him and we thoroughly checked this car out from top to bottom. When I was done my inspection, my buddy asked me what I thought about the car and I told him, "if you don"t buy this car, I"m going to". Long story short he bought the car and really enjoyed it. Over the last 2-3 years, we added some very tasteful modifications to make the car more user friendly. In 2020 when Covid hit, my buddy was in fear of potentially losing his job so the car went on the back burner and sat for most of the year. Then in early 2021, he mentioned to me that he was thinking of selling the car since he had neither the time or money to take it to the next level. Since I knew and worked on the car, I made him an offer and brought the car home. But now I find myself in the same scenario. I do have another car and I just don"t have the time or the energy to do to the car what I want to do with it, so I"m going to pass it along to someone else.
The car is a 67 Camaro coupe. It"s been restored with 2 new rear 1/4"s. The rest of the car is rust free. Floors, frame rails, trunk, rockers, and front fenders are all rust free. The paint job is definitely over 10 years old but it shows extremely well based on the fact that the last 2 owners garage kept the car. My buddy also covered the car when it was garaged for an extra level of protection. The car was used and enjoyed so while the paint looks great and shines nicely, it does have some road nicks and such. With that being said the car won a Top 50 out of over 500 plus cars at the Hatboro PA car show in 2019. When the car was repainted it was repainted the original color of Granada Gold. It"s a unique color that looks great and believe it or not it gets attention at car shows and cruise nights because it not just another blue, black, or red car. This car looks fantastic and get tons of compliments and thumbs up when on the road.
The drive train of the car is where it really shines. When my buddy purchased the car 10 years ago, it had a mildly built 350 with a turbo 350 trans and a 10 bolt rear with 3:73 gears and positraction. After driving the car around town with the 3:73 gears my buddy mentioned to me that he was thinking of installing an overdrive trans so that he could drive further distances without having the engine scream at him. Fortunately another friend of ours had decided to pull the 200-4R transmission out of his Chevelle to install a Tremec 5 speed so we took that trans and installed it into this Camaro. This trans was sourced from Bowtie Overdrives. If you look on their website and look up the specs on the Level One 200-4R it will give specific details on how it"s built to handle more power. It"s a Bowtie Overdrives Level One 200-4R transmission with about 5000 miles on it since new. Some of those miles were in the Chevelle and about 1500 miles were put on since we installed it into the Camaro. We did the trans swap on a lift in my buddies garage and we used an aftermarket tubular crossmember along with a custom shifter detent set up that allows for the use of the factory style shifter. The beauty of this trans is that running it with 3:73 gears allows you to cruise on the highway with lower engine RPM"s.
The car came with a mildly built 350. After about 6-7 years that motor began to blow some blue smoke. Chevy guys know that it was most likely valve seals. So I suggested to my friend that we install a new cam and a set of Vortec heads. Instead he decided to go with a brand new Summit crate motor. The motor is a Summit 350/375HP crate motor. The specs on this motor are as follows:

This motor is basically still brand new. We installed in over the winter of 2018, so it really only was used for the 2019 car show season. I honestly don"t think that it has over 1000 miles because other than a few short runs here and there, the car basically sat for the 2020 and 2021 seasons. When we installed this motor, my buddy added a variety of accessories. It has an MSD 6AL box with MSD ready to run distributor, Speed Demon 750 carb, Weiand aluminum high flow water pump, aluminum 3 row radiator with dual electric fans, a brand new Powermaster 140 amp alternator, and a new wire harness with new fuse box that takes newer blade style fuses.
The interior of this car is like brand new. When my buddy scored the car, it had gold carpet and in an attempt to offset so much gold, he swapped over to a black carpet. The carpet is only a year old and shows like new. The dash, dash pad, seats, door panels, and headliner are all in outstanding condition with no rips, tears, or even wear marks. The dash/gauge set up is aftermarket with a complete set of Autometer gauges that all work. The wipers and heat all work and there is a custom aftermarket stereo installed that has Bluetooth capability. The steering wheel is aftermarket and the column has tilt wheel.
Some of the other added upgrades are Hooker ceramic coated headers that run back to a 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The car has power steering, power disc brakes on the front and drum on the rear, new multi-leaf leaf springs, and a like new set of polished Rev 5 spoke wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. These tires probably only have about 2000 miles since brand new. The tires are 225/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear. The rear is a factory 10 bolt that has been upgraded to 3:73 gears with an Eaton posi unit.
This car is basically turn key and enjoy. It has a brand new crate motor, newer overdrive trans, complete new MSD ignition, and a brand new aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. It runs strong and straight. It looks great running down the road and only needs a new driver.
Personally, I am a stick shift guy. I"ve never liked an automatic trans, especially in a Musclecar. So I sourced EVERYTHING necessary to convert this car over to a Tremec 5 speed. I have the clutch pedal assembly, all the clutch linkage, new flywheel, new clutch, bellhousing, trans crossmember, and a newly rebuilt Tremec TKO600 that was rebuilt and upgraded by Hanlon Motorsports. The trans comes with a Pro 5.0 close ratio shifter and a custom driveshaft. So I have everything you need to convert to a stick if you want. I will sell all those parts with the car for an extra $2500.00. If you win the car and prefer to keep the automatic, then I"ll sell the 5 speed swap separately. But the 5 speed swap is NOT included with the final price of the car.
As I said this is a super solid older restoration that still looks great. The car runs strong and straight and has a great sound due to the Flowmaster exhaust. I took 2 videos of the car that I can email or text to a potential buyer. Just ask. And feel free to ask any additional questions.
