Vehicle description
1967 Buick Riviera Grand Sport. So first the strengths: Runs extremely well. Starts every time, no smoke billowing out the back, cruises at 65 mph with no shimmies, wiggles or tremors. Shifts smoothly and no overheating issues at all. New factory original front and back seats from Legendary. New BF Goodrich TA radials. I have two rust free doors and one rust free drivers side front fender that come with the car. Star Wars air cleaner is perfect with no cracks or blemishes. There is an exhaust leak, a transmission leak and the power steering pump leaks (typical old car maladies). The bumpers are in nice condition and the dash pad is like new with no cracks or fading. The original grand sport wheels are rust free and in great condition. Now the negatives: First of all, I purchased this Riviera sight unseen from a dealership in New York and I got majorly screwed. They seriously misrepresented the condition of this Riviera and I was too trusting and paid way too much for it so I will do my best to represent the condition of this Riviera accurately. The photos capture the rust issues, both surface and in the quarter panels. The doors have significant rust but as noted above, I have two rust free doors that come with the car. The drivers side front fender is rusted through, however I have a rust free fender that comes with the car. The dashboard has a few lights that don"t work, the hideaway headlights do not rotate on their own. I"ve replaced the hideaway headlights motor so it appears to be a wiring issue that I"ve not diagnosed. The air conditioning does not work. I have two kids in college so I don"t have the money nor time to resurrect this Riviera to its former glory so its time to find a new home. If you have any questions at all, let me know and I can take more photos as well.
