Vehicle description
Here we have an absolutely stunning 1967 Duetto finished in it"s original color. We were even able to save the color decal in the trunk to reflect the originality. The mileage is correct as it has been off the road since at least the mid 80"s. I have a signed letter from the Owner who parked the vehicle stating its condition. The story is classic; motor spun a bearing, intended to fix it, stored it outside, top rotted and allowed the floor pans to completely rust leaving grapefruit sized holes in the floor. No dents or accidents or butchered dash, just neglect. I bought the car in 2000 with the intentions of doing a complete restoration; after 17 years here she is running and winning shows. With only original paint on the body it was easy to see what was needed. We stripped it and gave it to an excellent body man to clean up all of the rust and put in new floor pans. Subsequently I took it to a very reputable restoration shop for the finish paint. The finish is incredible! During that period the trim and all bright bits were refinished using no reproduction parts. The original wiring harness was cleaned and reused and gauges, generator and starter restored. The drivetrain was gone through including rear end, transmission. . if it moves it was refurbished. All underparts were powder-coated originals. It does have lower springs and Koni shocks. The brakes are restored Dunlop connected by new brake lines. The block is not original but period correct. It even sports its webers and polished air box and wrinkle finish cam cover.
The interior uses reproduction rubber flooring, seat vinyl, door cards and carpeted tunnel. The dash pad has been refinished by re-originals and looks great. It even has the emergency flashers as installed but not shown on any wiring diagram. Please feel free to call me at with questions. Good luck bidding!
