“This is a very rare 1966 Beetle Cabriolet with 86,6509 miles. This was the first year of the 1.32 liter engine, thus the “1300” chrome emblem is mounted to the engine cover. This change was an increase from 40 HP to 50HP. These were the new features for 1966: ventilating slots were added to the wheels, four way emergency flasher system, head light dimmer switch added to the turn signal switch, center defroster outlet added to dash, semi circular horn ring was added, better torsion bars & shocks, front seats equipped with seat belts, and ball joint front suspension was introduced. Only 5,799 were sold in the US. The oil has been changed, new spark plugs, and the valves have been adjusted and set back to .06 clearance. This car is believed to be owned by only two other people, and the radio still works! The top is in great shape, although I believe it has been replaced in the past.”
