Vehicle description
1966 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser 4x4 - $18,000 OBO
Selling this Classic unit!
Recent work done: New front and rear Driveshafts, new throttle linkage, new carburetor, new slave cylinder, new headlights and new battery. It runs strong with surprising horsepower!
No major modifications in terms of suspension. Aftermarket rims. Diamond-plated steel wheel wells. 2F engine. 4 speed transmission. Garage kept for the past decade. Roof Rack. Speedometer & odometer are in kilometers. Registered in Colorado. Great for the mountains! Clean body with minor rust - dime sized bubble on rear passenger panel and on the rear door near the hinges where door meets frame, but otherwise in good condition. I do imagine the engine/transmission having a lot of life left. Exact miles on the 2F engine are unknown, but the mechanics gave a clean bill of health and said that the engine and transmission are in good shape.
Projects to be done to be: Dashboard gauge cluster need to be replaced at some point. Steering column may need adjusted. Minor rust addressed/sanded. Needs seatbelts.
Going to graduate school that requires commuting and don"t have time or money to have a project/collector"s vehicle. . need something more practical. My intention with buying it was to have a simply built vehicle to do all my own work on and share with my father who spent all his time in the mountains, but it turns out that working on my own vehicle is just not high on my priority list right now after my father passed. If you"re doing your own work, it"d being a fun project car since there are no computers and everything is mechanical. Definitely gets a lot of double-takes when I"m driving it around. . it"s like being in the motorcycle club or something. Thanks for looking and reach out with questions!
I’m asking $18,000 but am open to any reasonable offer. MAKE AN OFFER OPTION IS TURNED ON.
