Vehicle description
One last relist of this project this year. .to enable this to be someone"s Winter project. .and get it ready for Spring!
Stalled 1966 Sunbeam Alpine racecar project. Unfortunately a couple of years ago, my project partner passed away before this project could be completed.
The project has collected some cobwebs and garage grime in the meantime. The body has a color coat (PPG Lemon Ice), but needs a wet sanding and final coat. Shop light caused a couple of the pictures to have a green tint.
The rollcage was built to SCCA F Production Spec"s (circa late 1990"s to 2000s). .1.50 DOM Steel Tubing.
The motor was rebuilt to standard specification (very little wear) and assembled with lubriplate. It has not been started (no fuel line and no electric).
There is a new RCI fuel cell, fuel cell brackets, and fuel pump.
There"s a picture of a racing seat that is included (from Jeg"s).
The original dash, pedal assembly, shifter, and steering wheel go with it. ( A picture is now included with this relist. The original tach, speedometer, oil and temp gauge are included and in the picture. .the fuel gauge is not used with a fuel cell. .and was not included. )
The new owner would need to add plumbing (brake and fuel lines), electrical (battery and wiring), and any safety equipment as specified by the venue they would want to race in (things like hood/door/trunk pins, fire system, shutoff switch, etc.).
Additions for the relisting:
the option of receiving either the stock wheels and tires or the chrome reverse wheels with Hoosier racing tires (your choice which set) the original brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder, and clutch slave cylinder. .and repair kits spare used engine block (bare. .no pistons, crank, etc.), spare used transmission, spare used head (Note: condition of these is unknown, but should be rebuildable) A rear end (maybe out of an earlier Alpine is also available at no additional cost. .though the axles are missing. .it seems to be heavy enough to still have the rear gears.
a couple of pints of Lemon Ice acrylic enamel (for the respray of the exterior). I can probably also provide enough hardener and reducer, also.
Inspection is encouraged before bidding.
