Vehicle description
Offered is a excellent driver condition 1966 Plymouth Satellite. Many, many things have been done to this car to bring it to this condition. The paint job was done by the previous own and is generally okay. It has a new Legendery/PUI interior - new door/side panels, arm rests, window/door handles, new seat materials front and back. Also has a new floor shift mechanism as the older one had bad bushings, also there is a new reverse lighting switch - - did not realize until I went to get one that they were a one year only design and expensive, oh well. Even the chrome trim pieces on the interior were taken off cleaned and re-chromed. New gas and brake pedal chrome trim added. The instrument panel was taken off and sent out for refurbish by a detailer up in Washington state, noted for his excellent workmanship. So it was cleaned, refinished in factory original black and the edgings chromed to match the original of the factory setup. Has a new carpet throughout. Also the rear window package tray was replaced and has the speaker splits made in it. The headliner is original and has two small cuts that I had not yet repaired. The dash itself has a new, modern cover. Also the glove door facing was re-chrome along with the instrument panel. The car now has power brakes, disc in the front and drum in the rear, all updated and new. There is also a new power steering pump recently replace as the other started leaking. It has been aligned and necessary ball joint and tie rods ends checked/replaced. The original engine, a 383 two barrel, is long gone. It has a recently rebuilt - done in July 2018 -m 1971/2 360 four barrel motor out of a Mopar something, done .30 over I believe. It was totally rebuilt from the crankshaft up according to the rebuilder - Paul Gaspar, the president of the San Antonio Mopar Muscle Club. It runs really, really good. The carb is a new Edelbrock 1406 with electric choke - 625 CFM. The alternator is also new, as is the water pump. Also has a new electronic Mopar distributor and control box. Has factory original exhaust manifolds for this LA style motor. Transmission works perfectly, was flushed, new filter and checked out when I bought this car three years ago. Never a problem with it. Wheels are new American Racing Torq Thrust 14 X6 original size, with the grey painted spokes. These look really good on this model car. Tires are new, Milestar, white letter radials, 215 X 70 R 14. Looks great, runs even better. On the exterior: have replaced the hood ornament with a factory original for this car/engine combination a 383. Also did new rear tail lights and chrome trim. The tail panel on the truck is in great condition, as is the front grill. The turn signal light/bezels are replacements with new lenses, bulbs and all, even the head light buckets/bezels are upgraded, cleaned up original ones that are just like new. The front and rear bumpers have been cleaned and re-chromed, just like new now. It has a new Vintage Air a/c system, custom engineered for this car. And replaced the regular cooling fan setup with a electric fan for better cooling and all. Has a new aluminum radiator installed. Am sure I have missed something. Many other parts will come with this car. It is a great car, fun tio drvie and be seen in. A true classic of its time. Thanks for looking.
