Vehicle Description
This is a one-owner original condition 1966 Oldsmobile 98 LS. It belonged to my mother and was covered and garaged continually until about 2 years ago. The photos show it in the garage and outside.
It hadn’t been run since 2008. It was removed to a local garage which was to put it back in running condition. That’s been a frustrating process. The garage has it running but the fuel tank is rusted and rust particles clog the fuel filter. The tank was treated but didn’t hold the inside coating. Currently a local shop is making a new fuel tank, which is taking too long.
The car has sat outside for 2 years now and is not as pristine as shown in the photos. I’m in the process of obtaining current photos and will update this ad as soon as I can. I’m not positive about some of the specifics, like mileage, but my estimate is close. If you are interested, please contact me.
There was only one minor fender bender with the car, which was repaired about 30 years ago. From sitting outside, a crack has opened in the Bondex repair on the left rear fender.
There’s no significant body rust.
The car is all original, with an 8 track player, original paperwork and manuals, shop mechanic"s manual, and some vintage items. A car cover is included.
The car is in Big Stone Gap, VA, about 40 minutes off I-80 at Kingsport, TN. I’m in NJ which is why I can’t be more specific . You can see the car at the auto shop. Contact me for info.
I was going to keep and restore the car but have lost interest. If you want a classic "big boat" "huge V-8 engine" luxury sedan from the "60"s, here you go! You can fit at least 4 bodies in the trunk.
I’m selling “as is”. “As is” means running condition after release from the shop but no new fuel take and no guarantees on how long it runs. If the fuel tank is finished and available before sale, it will be installed but I’ll expect a higher price for that cost. Make me an offer if you want this car.
Local delivery only. Cash or equivalent funds only or cleared payment before taking possession. Absolute no representations or warranty.
