About this vehicle This 1966 MG MGB is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes Please contact me with any questions. Mark Vehicle Details Purchased on 12/16/1986. The MGB has a Red/Black exterior and was repainted in 1992. The interior is brown leather. It has wire wheels. The engine was re-built and a new transmission with overdrive installed in 1988 ( Approximately 40,000 miles ago). A new top was installed in 2016 and is in perfect condition. The front end and carburetor were rebuilt in 2018. It has an overdrive transmission. This MGB looks good and runs strong, but needs work. Some issues I’ve been living with for many years are: Odometer/ Speedometer no longer works and needs a 90’ drive. The 2nd gear synchro grinds, but is okay when you double clutch. The Starter cuts out, but has never failed ( I have a new high torque replacement). The trunk doesn’t lock due to missing pieces. The MGB has some rust on the underside that is repairable. See pic of lower door. The 12 gallon fuel tank has been replaced with a 10 gallon tank. The transmission has a nuisance leak and needs to be topped off once or twice a year. This MGB would need these problems addressed to be show ready, but is a reliably running car that still looks good. The interior is in good shape, but shows some wear.
