Vehicle description
1966 Mercury Parklane Breezeway
390 2V
(C-6) Automatic
Runs and drives, everything works except the 4 way switch in the glove box. Power breezeway window works great.
Has some spots of rust but the body, floors trunk and rad supports are very good.
Windshield has a crack
The frame needs to be worked on it has 4 spots where it sat and rusted the bottom.
Engine runs, the rad was re-cored to 3 core (last picture), new carb and fuel pump.
Has Per-lux ignitor ignition, no points. New autolite 45"s
Old school mallory coil and solid core wires. the engine is tired and has low oil pressure when hot so it needs to be rebuilt.
Transmission is the C6 and it drips a bit from the dipstick tube hole but shifts firm.
Drivers side armrest needs to be put back on, small things here and there.
Overall the car is in amazing shape for its age and is all original.
I am planning on taking the engine out and pulling the body off but I thought I"d try to see if anyone else might be interested in it. I really dont have the room to work on it.
