About this vehicle This 1966 Mercedes-Benz 230 is a restored vehicle. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes The following work has been done since I've owned the car. Likely Rod Bearing or Wrist Pin fix needed. - Resealed Power Steering Pump - Drive shaft rebuilt and rebalanced Vehicle Details PRICED TO SELL. 1966 Daimler-Benz 230 fintail. Straight six. (gasoline) One of 14,951 built in 1966. I purchased the vehicle in 2019 from the original owner's family in Carson City, NV. It was a daily driver for about 20 years, then sat for about 15 years before a ton of work was put in in the early 2000's. Specifically: a new engine (2.3L straight 6), disassembled & rebuilt the 4-speed automatic transmission, upholstery/leather/dash/paint redone/seatbelts added/ replaced steering wheel, and it's been stored indoors/covered since, while being an occasional weekend driver & show car. The odometer reports 92,400. (The odometer stopped working at 292K, which is when they did the rebuild) Estimated that it probably has ~10K miles on it since the rebuild. (including the drive from NV to the bay area) I've included pictures of the original rebuild as well. The car runs/drives (with a slight engine noise/knock) and even the original radio works and fan/ heating works well. All original car documents included.
