Vehicle description
It is registered in the UK as a 1966 Lotus B/C. I have the original docs. I actually ordered it in Feb 2015 and it arrived on my doorstep Dec 31 2015. Many of the parts are Lotus originals with the frame constructed by the manufacturer that supplied the original frame as well as replacement frames for current 23s. The engine is a 1598cc 185 hp at 7700 with a redline of 8000. All internals are of the highest quality. There are two 152 dual Weber carburetors, electric fuel pump and regulator. It is dry sump with rotor distributor as required by FIA. As a matter of fact the entire car was required to meet FIA racing requirements in Europe. Attached to the engine is a MK 9 5 speed Hewland limited slip trans-axle with MK 5 gears. I have spare gear sets. Currently, in 5th gear speed is approximately 150 at 7700. The shift lever is on the right. The car can be setup as a single seat or two seats. There is a racing harness with the date of 5/2017. I actually have the rare handbrake installed. The car requires at least 98 octane gas; I use 110 octane currently. The car only weighs 1000 lbs. without driver and fuel. It has never been raced. I start it up and run it around at the shows.
The car has won many first and best of show car shows. Once I did get it up to 7000 before to shifting from 2nd to third on a straight away. It will definitely pin you back on full acceleration. One of the pictures shows two men standing beside the car, this gives you an idea how small and low this car is.
Also in one of the pictures, you will see the car in a custom trailer; this is also for sale separately. I have complete documents on suspension setup, engine specs, MK 9 transmission manual and many other associated docs.
I would even accept a good 1968 or 1969 Triumph GT6 in trade plus cash.
