Vehicle description
Before I start describing this vehicle, let me tell you a bit about myself. I am a master Datsun/Nissan technician and have worked on them my entire career. I owned a Datsun Z Car restoration specialty shop with my brother. With that being said, I searched for over 15 years for a Roadster that was worth restoring. In 2008 I finally came across this Roaster that belonged to the daughter of the original owner. This car was bought new in California and spent its life in Arizona. It has never been wrecked, has zero rust and always been garage kept. I own many restored Datsun show cars and I am at the point in my life where I need to let some go.
This car has been restored with many upgrades. New paint with not so much as a door ding, new interior, dash, $500 German windshield, tires, top of the line convertible soft top, weather strip and rubbers. A new marine stereo remote in the dash with new stereo and CD changer in the trunk. All the lights work as well as the turn signals and break lights. I installed a 1968 engine with an aluminum head that has been gone through as well as a 1968 transmission and clutch. This car has new custom exhaust system, a custom made 4 core radiator with electric fan, polished GM 100 amp alternator, and electronic ignition. The gas tank has been cleaned and dipped as well as new break and clutch hydraulics. I had the carbs rebuilt by Z Therapy and have receipt. All maintenance items including belts, hoses, thermostat, coolant, tune-up parts, are all up to speed. As you can see from the pictures, the engine is detailed and runs as good as it looks. No starting, running or idle issues what so ever. I have had this car going on 10 years and have enjoyed taking it to many car shows where it has won many awards.
As seen in pictures, I have miscellaneous new and used parts, along with maintenance receipts dating back to the original owner. I also have an extensive photo collection from the day I purchased the car from the daughter of the original owner, through its restoration, and from the many car shows that it has been in. Please note: I have removed the front bumper as a personal preference and installed an aluminum air scoop. I no longer have the front bumper. I am not running the rear bumper as a personal preference but I do have said bumper…it could use a re-chrome. The speedometer works fine but the odometer stopped at 85,381 miles. That’s the mileage that was on it when I bought the car and I have probably only put on about 1,000 miles over the course of my ownership going to car shows. A change in jobs moved us from Arizona to Dallas where all my cars were move by transport truck. This is a very dependable car that anyone would be proud to own. It starts runs and drives like a dream, never overheats, and has never left me stranded.
