This 1966 Volkswagen Beetle has been restored to radiate a cool cruising style. With an extra clean California 70s and 80s LOOK known as a Cal Bug I had a Cal bug in the mid 80s a Cal bug mainly has a real simple look it is usually de-chromed of its trim and then usually has ONE piece windows put in it replacing the stock little vent window they had and then they were usually really low with some beefy back tires and some VERY small front tires making its stance awesome this one has 15 X 5 1/2" rear rims with 205 60 R 15 tires and the front sports 15 X 4 1/2" rims with 135 R 15 tires ( the tires match in look), it has better stopping power with disc brakes on the front, and then of coarse a BIG CUSTOM MOTOR and TRANSMISSION that pretty much describes a CAL BUG this was made to look like one the paint has a couple of super small blemishes you cant even notice them on the walk around (NOTHING BIG OR MAJOR)
Beetle aficionados cherish these years because of the craftsmanship that goes into the earlier cars. You see it everywhere from the vents under the headlights, to the Very attractive style deck lid (one of the last years for this desirable feature.) There has been a nice restoration investment in this car that shows in details like the beautiful FLAWLESS AWESOME CUSTOM ORANGE PAINT ALONG WITH THE GREAT MATCHING INTERIOR THE MAIN COLORS OF THIS CAR ARE ORANGE, CHROME, BLACK, AND SOME WHITE IN THE INTERIOR, almost everything that could be changed to NEW ON THIS CAR WAS from top to bottom front beam with a select a drop on it that can be lowered or raised by simply turning a bolt it is currently about as low as it could be driving comfortably, the transmission is also new the Motor is a 2000Cc replacement with a set of Dual 48 IDA WEBER ITALIAN carbs Huge custom oversized heads with match ported manifolds and everything else that goes with a custom motor it has about 80 miles on it IF EVEN THAT notice the VERY NICE exhaust system chrome plated the motor runs really strong it does occasionally leak a few drops of oil after a hard run as most of them do, The motor is a 78MM stroker crank with a 110 cam 1 to 4 ratio rockers 90.5MM pistons like I said huge heads is is a se mi high compression engine and takes premium gas or you can add octane boost to regular unleaded you"ll really love showing it off.
The VW interior is simple, classic, and like a true time machine when you invest to restore it correctly. VDO speedometer with separate fuel gauge and the dual-spoke steering wheel with Wolfsburg crest in the center.
