Up for sale is this 1966 AMC Rambler American 440 convertible with 75k miles.
Overall it is in nice condition. Gets thumbs up everywhere I drive it.
The body is in pretty good shape. Not perfect though. It has some small dings and such. The only rust I can see on the car is on the lower rear panels behind the rear tires that has some bubbling under the paint (see pics). Otherwise it is solid. It is painted a light blue color. Don"t know if it is the original color but I don"t see any evidence of it ever being something different.
The engine is the 3.3 liter inline 6 that runs great. It starts right up and sounds very good with no strange noises or anything like that. I rebuilt the carb, put new spark plugs, spark plug wires and points. It still has a slight stumble/dead spot that I have not been able to eliminate but if you feather the gas pedal it runs fine.
The brakes work great. They are not power so you need to put your foot into it but they stop the car straight and without issue.
The interior is in driver condition. the seat has a tear by the driver but nothing major. The carpet could use a little love.
All the lights work as they should. The horn works fine. The turn signals work fine. There is no wiper switch though so they wipers are not working. The system is all there and looks to be in good shape but needs a switch.
The power convertible top works perfect and is in good shape. Goes up and down with the button as it should. All the manual windows go up and down but the rear windows usually need a little help to get them going. some lube would surely help with that.
Overall this is a super cool car that you can drive as is or put a little work into it and take it to the next level. It is priced well below any others in comparable condition. It"s not in perfect condition by any means, just a cool old car to cruise around in.

I am a licensed dealer so any Florida resident will have to pay sales tax plus $125 title transfer. Florida dealers obviously are exempt from this. If buyer is out of state then no sales tax is due on my end.
