Vehicle description
For some reason, listing categories does not recognize "Rambler American 220" so lists as "unknown" or "other" AMC. Carol Hughes of Hughes Automotive has owned this car for many years. Mechanically solid, but some trim parts missing, surface rust and missing headliner. Very rare V8 engine for that model. Interior seats relatively new and is very nice. Car can be seen at Hughes Automotive in El Cajon, CA. Listing on other venues, so auction may be canceled at any time. Also listing my 1963 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible on another auction listed at the same time. This is a NO reserve auction!
An observant person wrote it that it didn"t look like a 327. And he was correct. We think it is actually the generation II V8 290 CID and listing is modified. It appears to be the original engine, not ever removed so thinking it may be a 1966 1/2 or later in the year production. Thank you!
