Vehicle description
1965 Ford Country Sedan Wagon. Same Owner past 30 years. Recently pulled from indoor storage and refurbished for driving. Runs and drives very well. Cleaned, detailed and ready to go. Clear title in hand.
Power brakes with front disc brakes. All new brake components: dual diaphragm master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders, pads, shoes, brake lines, and brake hoses.
New gas lines. Gas tank cleaned, sealed and repainted.
Engine is a healthy, great running 351 Windsor (1969 model year). Trans is Ford AOD overdrive automatic that shifts just fine. Trans has slow (manageable) leak when parked. Electric fuel pump. Dual exhaust.
Ford 9" rear end with 3.70:1 gears. New front tires. Decent rear tires. Rims are older Keystone Classics with slight rust.
Solid floors with a small patch directly under brake pedal. Car has undergone some body work over the years and does contain some body filler. Some small rust spots. Factory frame was reinforced decades ago and properly sealed and coated. Recent new paint on lower half of the car.
New interior carpet. Seats and headliner are original. Some staining on front seat. Dash and cluster are from a 1967 LTD. Interior nice for its age and clean.
Currently the 55-year-old vacuum heater and A/C controls are not functioning. The blower motor is wired to a switch to allow for heat/ventilation. A/C not charged but all components are present.
Front bumper is original in good condition. Rear bumper is from a "65 sedan mounted with custom brackets.
Rear gate window works, seems to raise a little slowly.
This car should be considered a quality driver. It is not an original or an attempted restoration, just a mild custom built for comfort and to be enjoyed and driven.
Inspections are encouraged. All questions welcomed. No secrets with this car, all info is shared and upfront.
Thanks for looking!
