Vehicle description

1965 Volkswagen Beetle (BUG), This is NOT your typical Bug though! while it looks aged on the outside (this look was intentional! PATINA BABY! underneath is a different story. A complete Pan off build was finished in October 2021 with just a few hundred test miles on it, once you get in the drivers seat and get going, This is when you know this Bug is special & Fast! the engine is a Subaru EJ22 which if you do your research is a super great engine and all the reviews are great! with factory Forged Pistons (Molybdenum-coated pistons) The block and head material are aluminum and displacment is 2.2 L (2212 cc) and what I read about the engine is maximum HP is 280 HP @ 6,000 RPM"s. This engine Runs amazing and you can monitor RPM-Temperature-etc (basically everything you can see on a scan tool on a modern) through the BlueDriver App via bluetooth. Lots of power over stock VW engines without sacrificing reliability. fresh freeway flyer transaxle. Highway speeds are no problem. New disc brakes up front and all new brake components in the rear. Sam Manis Adjustable Beam. Air Shocks in the Rear. No Actual rust seen besides the Patina you see on the body. the undercarriage looks killer! killer in the sense that you don"t see Bugs looking like this and it just looks clean-cool and unique. 4 speed Manual transmission that shifts smooth and makes it a blast to drive! Radiator is mounted up front with dual electric fans with coolant lines running through the car looking very tidy. through data logging with the Blue Driver App, is has shown that the fan kicks on right about 203 degrees. haven"t seen any overheating issues, all electrical components of the swap are located in a vintage suitcase behind the back seat. What a neat idea to put all the electronics like this into a suitcase as it looks very cool and keeps it all neatly together. This is not just a bug that has a subaru engine thrown in it, it is a well thought out car that the builder put a lot of attention to detail. it is really a classic beetle with the power and reliability of a newer Beetle :) Nice Porsche wheels, all the glass throughout the car is good, overall the chrome/stainless look good, i love the sound of the Bug when idling and especially when accelerating, simply put this Bug gets a lot of attention and if you want to own/drive something unique from the norm then this is it. pre purchase inspections are welcome and encouraged so you know exactly what you are buying and in the event I have described something incorrectly. also if you want help arranging transport then just ask me as I am happy to help arrange.
