Selling my 65 Beetle. Looking for something else to play around with. I bought this car 2 years ago. I do not have much history on it. I do have the dealership check in maintenance book that shows this car was sold new at Patterson motors in Mesa , Arizona. It has the engine number filled out, which shows the car still has it"s original engine. At some point in it"s life, this car went through a body off pan restoration. I do not know when that happened. The car is very clean, no rust anywhere. Since I"ve owned it, I"ve replaced the tires, which are still new, replaced the front inner and outer wheel bearings, the clutch cable and the fuel pump. The doors shut nice. The turn signals work in the back, but front signals we"re never installed. The car is a great running car. I cleaned the plugs, and added a new distributor and adjusted the valves. The king and link pins are tight and I"ve been greasing them every spring. There was a Sebring exhaust installed and when it was installed too much pressure was put on the rear valance and cracked the paint. You can see it in the pic. It does sound good though There really isn"t any other issues with the car besides the fuel guage not working. If you shine a light into the tank you will see it is shiny inside. It looks brand new. I will continue to enjoy the car until it sells. I have 2 other beetles and am looking to mess around with something different. Thanks for looking.
