Vehicle description

Pontiac Le Mans. This car is a good candidate for restoration. It was used as a daily / weekend driver up until 2015. It"s a 2 speed automatic with center console and a 326. Runs nice. Will try and upload a recent burn out video. .Restoration began in 2015. I had a one piece total floor pan professionally installed. Two small areas on the frame have been welded. Areas of difficulty on this car: Trunk lip, rusted, wheel wells in front of rear wheels, and behind rear wheels, some rust holes there. The area where the tail lights meet the fenders is a bad fit. someone tried this before me. we"ll call that a "fail". Because of this, the trunk lid does not close well., too tight on the fenders. Drainage channels around the convertible top need work, and the front piece (grill) that ties the two front fenders together needs new tabs to pull the fenders in. I have inner rear fenders, and a trunk lip off another car. There is one small rust hole below the front windshield. I don"t have inner wheel fenders for the front. Most of the work needed is from behind the doors to the back. It will need a new top, convertible top works, new hydraulic lines installed. .a new interior would be good. . no carpet as i put a new floor pan in.
I have this car body reinforced by the doors so it can be lifted off the frame without bending. Removing the body for a frame resto with fresh paint is easy. I have installed new body to frame bushings.
This is my second LeMans convertible resto. . I completed the 1st one this year as a GTO clone. (I"m selling this, I don"t need two. .) With the first, I bought a nice mig welder and learned to weld. Floor pans, floor support, inner fender weld patches, trunk patches. Having learned to weld, I can see that this one is "doable" for even a back yard guy like me. . There is a lot needs doing, but there"s also a lot of value here., and I have a lot of parts. I took my time with the first car and did a good job, asked for help and advice when needed.
This car was completely apart on January 15th. . we rolled it out of my friend"s shop on Feb. 15th. . details for inspection have not been done. (horns, tail lights, interior lights, etc.). it drives as you see it. .we watched 3 nice smoke shows. . Everybody was scratching their chins. hmmm, maybe I should buy it. .
