This is a highly optioned 1965 Tri-Power GTO out of the Pontiac Michigan assembly plant. This car sat in a field for about 20 years elevated on blocks- this is why the car isn"t as rusty as other field find cars. PHS documents this car as an extensively optioned 1965 GTO Tri-Power 4 Speed (M21) with a 3.90 posi rear and metallic brake linings. Other notable options include Rally Gauge Cluster, Remote Control Deck Lid Release, Power Brakes, Rally Wheels, Heavy Duty Fan, Quick Steering Ratio, Door Edge Guards, Floor mats, etc. It"s obvious that this car was a parted back in the day but now would make a good restoration candidate. The floors need patching but not complete pans, the trunk needs a left side 1/3 but the middle and right 2/3 is solid. The roof and drip rails are very solid. Not much rot present in this car compared to other Northeast Field Find cars but it will need to be gone through and thoroughly restored. The frame is solid except for the back left corner rot behind where the rearend mounts (under the trunk) and the rearmost cross member will need to be replaced (left side rotted out where it meets the rotted rail). I had some spare parts kicking around from other restorations that I have decided to include in the sale. Included is a rearend out of a GTO, a set of bucket seats, center console (4 speed), steering column, steering wheel (with chrome insert), door panels and other misc. parts in the trunk. I figured that somebody could use the parts I have included as a jumpstart to a restoration. This car is sold with a bill of sale and PHS paperwork.
