Vehicle description
1965 Plymouth Valiant V100 4 door factory V8 3 speed automatic. The original 273ci V8 is long gone and original A904 trans is toast.
It now has a 1985 Chrysler 2 barrel roller cam 318ci V8 with a floor shifted 727 3 speed automatic. The car has been converted to four wheel disc brakes using new "73 and up spindles and upper control arms for the front and a narrowed Ford 8.8 limited slip rear end out of a 1997 Explorer with 3.73 gears. 5x4.5 bolt pattern all around. Rear diff is missing parking brake components.
Rebuilt front suspension and added a new dual master cylinder with new brake lines. New engine wiring harness. Ignition has been converted to Pertronix ignition but it can easily go back to points if you like. Lots of new parts, too much to list but I can share the details with you. I have most of the receipts. It uses one key for the doors and ignition and another key for the trunk.
It has some rust in both of the front doors but it"s not bad and it also has some rust in the rear quarters. The floors had some rusted out spots that have been repaired/patched up (not professionally, but it"s good enough). It needs body work and paint along with better-fitting door panels (they"re not installed). The seats are ok, and the headliner looks to be original but it"s holding up relatively well considering the age. I added new black carpet with the extra padding for heat and sound insulation. The transmission has developed a small leak from what appears to be the front seal.
The car runs and drives, it just needs a few things to be complete. I purchased the car last year and was building it to be my daily but I have too many projects so this one needs to go.
This is a cool little project that you can drive while you finish. It"s a great start for a sleeper, hot rod, ratrod, or whatever you like.
I have the front bumper and rocker moldings, and are included in the sale. When I purchased the car it came with an A/C compressor and underdash unit along with a power steering pump (but no power steering gear) which I"ll include as well if you like.
Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup and/or shipping. I"m available to show it locally. If you"d like to see more pictures just send me a message.
