Offered for sale. My 1965 Oldsmobile 442 W-29 Convertible, Factory 4 spd , (1 of approximately 1389 4spd convertibles made in 65) matching numbers 400. (The first year of the 400) with the super rare 3-2bbl. The body is rust and dent free, the paint is near perfect. All the chrome is bright. I have owned this car for 20 years, it is a true restoration with some upgrade mods: Disc front brakes, Power brake module, aluminum radiator Custom Speaker pods in the door stainless steel brake and fuel lines Hooker Headers Cragar Period correct rims with knock offs 12 bolt posi-rear (373 gears) Rear-Torsion bars I bought the 442 in Illinois in 1997, First steps: 1997 - the chassis was professionally replaced with the period correct convertible frame. All stainless fuel/brake lines installed. Every grommet/gasket replaced. Hooker Headers installed 1999 - full body restoration, replaced with original equipment steel left/right rear quarter panels, its perfectly straight, no bondo all steel body, full interior update- seat covers, carpets, all rubber moldings, mats- Painted Competition yellow. New gas tank, convertible motor replaced. 2003 - Full engine rebuild (JTL Engines, Keyport, NJ) Full transmission rebuild. Changed limited slip rear with period/model correct 12 bolt posi-rear 373 rear gears. 2005- 3-2 BBL with correct Rochester Carbs. The 3-2 bbl was available as a dealer installed option in 1966, it was available in late 65. Aluminum Radiator installed 2006- Body stripped and repainted the original Provincial White. New Seat covers.
