Vehicle description
1965 Mustang Coupe Great running and driving car with a ton of stuff new, renewed and updated. Please don’t get tired of me saying New as there is a lot of New and improved to this car. Engine This is a 302 and not the original engine. It was completely rebuilt by Performance Clinic who are highly recognized for engine builds. Only about 400 miles since the rebuild and has had the post assembly oil change done. Everything is new to include all internal engine parts and accessories. All hoses, belts, wires, fuel lines, fuel filter, everything is new. It has a slightly bigger cam in it and runs great with great throttle response and sounds great. They warranty their builds. Edelbrock carb with electric choke on top of a polished Weiand intake. Drake hot coated headers leading to a dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers with chrome tips. Pertronix ignition with a new chrome coil. Aluminum valve covers and aluminum oil pan. Chrome air filter. Aluminum radiator with a custom aluminum fan shroud. Engine is painted black. Chrome one wire alternator. The engine bay is painted and detailed. The shock towers are good and not cut up at all. Transmission C-4 automatic which has been rebuilt and has a chrome pan on it with fresh fluids. Suspension This is all new and lowered 1” by the kit from CJ pony parts. New rear leaf springs attached to an 8” rear end. New coil springs, shocks, ball joints, sway bar, strut rods and bushings – all new. Alignment has been recently done. Power Steering Stock Power steering with a new slave cylinder and all new lines/hoses. Power Disc Brakes on all 4 wheels The Right Stuff kit which is a power setup with 4 wheel disc brakes, master cylinder and booster and all new lines on the entire car. Wheels and tires are all new. Jegs 5 spoke aluminum wheels, new lug nuts and new radial tires. Electrical Everything works, lights, gages, etc. The battery is mounted in the trunk and proper wiring routed and secured to the front. I have a new replacement battery tray if you prefer the battery up front. I considered installing an electric fuel pump and routed the wiring and have the pump, the mechanical one on the engine works just fine so I did not install it. The electric pump (new) comes with the car. Exterior Trim All new chrome, emblems and trim. New bumpers to include the brackets. New grille, all pieces. New emblems and the vertical pieces in the coves behind the doors. New gas cap cover, custom. Cover piece by CJ pony parts that closes out the space between the grill and the core support. New parking light assemblies. New LED tail light assemblies. New wipers, FORD letters and trim piece at front of hood. Front air dam is new. New mirror on driver’s door. Body This is the only thing that is not new or redone on the car. There are chips in areas, a couple spots of bubbling and the roof is faded. I do have a small amount mixed of the color if needed. In some of the pictures I placed refrigerator magnets to show that it is not a bunch of bondo. I am not saying there could be some although in the typical areas there is not, the magnets stick. It is not terrible looking paint, certainly drivable and presentable and this is literally the only not so good part of the car and the only part that could use attention – or not, depends what you want. That is why it is priced reasonably. The body is pretty straight, the doors all open and close fine along with the trunk and hood. The floors, trunk, and frame is all solid. Interior New Procar Rally seats with sliders. The backseat has been reupholstered to match the pattern and stitching of the front seats. Aftermarket steering wheel. The dash is good and has a small wrinkle/wave although no cracks. New knobs on the dash. New door panels, window and door handles, rear view mirror and visors. I have not replaced the carpet or headliner because they are good. New package tray and new door sill plates. New seat belts with chrome latches. Aftermarket new console. The paint on the lower part of the dash is just OK. Sound proof material under carpet and in trunk. There is absolutely no more to do or upgrade on the drive train, suspension or interior or even trim pieces. All the work done is by professionals and all done well. This car can go anywhere and is a great driver and if you wanted to paint it, be a great show car. It is a good show car now. Please feel free to ask questions. Clear Ohio Title in hand. Sold As Is. Buyer arranges and pays for shipping.
