Mercury Monterey. Rare Bucket seat convertible one of 295 bucket seat Monterey Convertibles built that year. Add the full factory Air conditioning option and likely this is easily one of 30 or so survivors left in existance. I flew to Atlanta Ga. almost 11 years ago and drove this home around 800 miles at the time. It had been extensively mechanically restored from end to end at the time, refreshing it totally from a low mileage 54000 car at the time. Now has just shy of 59000 actual miles. Original upholstery, shows remarkably well with some wear expected. Original top functions well mechanically, needs to be replaced but still does the job with glass rear window. Original top boot in remarkable condition useable with some minor wear. Original trim and brightwork has pitting and fade to be expexted. Unmolested dash, A/C and heat regulators not working properly, have not looked into it. A/C has residual pressure yet but did cool when I got the car. Car drives like a dream and performs well. Body free of major rust, door corners, frame cavities, inner aprons, crossmembers, radiator support, and floors very nice, no added undercoating or signs of work. Just normal oxidation and minor weathering. trunk drops clean and has minor perforation on lower quarter panel drivers side. Repaint once about 30 plus years ago. All functioning and original glass. Wonderful rare driver Classic series radial tires. Factory wire wheel covers.
