390 2V V8 Merc-O-Matic Transmission

Power Brakes 3rd Row Seat RARE AM-FM Radio Power Rear Window This 1965 Mercury Colony Park Station Wagon was purchased from an estate after the original owner passed away earlier in the year. With just under 20,000 miles the car was driven sparingly from 1965 until it was last registered in 1993.
After sitting for 25 years a full servicing was performed and now the wagon starts, drives and stops beautifully. Some of the servicing included:
Carburetor rebuild Complete tune up Full brake service including all new lines, new master cylinder and new front wheel cylinders and hoses. Flush and fill cooling system All new heater hoses Fuel system cleaned
Gas tank re-sealed, sending unit rebuilt
New tires New battery Transmission service New neutral safety switch New alternator New voltage regulator The body is very straight with the exception of a few shallow hood dings. The primer on the inside of the front fenders doesn"t match so its possible that a fender was replaced years ago. The front driver door also needs an adjustment. There are some areas of rust developing that can be seen in the pictures but there is no rust through. The floors and undercarriage are all very solid. The exterior retains probably 60% of its original paint with some ares of paint chips and scratches but overall the paint is very presentable.
The interior 100% original and is nearly flawless. Only a few minor imperfections can be found and there is no cargo area scuffing that you would see on most wagons this age. The white headliner still needs a good cleaning but should clean up as well as the rest of the interior.
The engine bay is untouched and original with the exception of the parts that were replaced during the recent service.
The only issues that I"m aware of is the clock and dome lights don"t work. The dome lights were working until recently but I haven"t had time to look into it. The radio works but the channel tuner isn"t working so its stuck on 93.1 FM.
Original paperwork includes the original build sheet, instruction cars for the heater controls and wipers and vintage Illinois maps. An owners manual and sales brochure are included but they aren"t original to the car.
