| “This Kellison X 300GT Astra has only 953 total miles and less then 200 miles on it since total restoration. The restoration was completed in 1994 to compete in vintage car racing. Even though a roll bar was all that was required at the time, we built a complete safety cage in the car which is required today. We also installed a fuel cell system, and a Halon fire suppression system in the engine compartment, cockpit and fuel cell areas. We installed two five-point harnesses. The car has not had any damage, and there are no dings, scratches, or chips on it. Even with all these safety features, the car is street legal with complete custom interior and other creature comforts. Very few road race cars were equipped with the Kellison light weight road race frame. Please read the description for more complete details about the car. Kellison X-300 GT Astra 60"s vintage road race car. Believed to be one of seven built on the Kellison light-weight road race frame, real American muscle. It is powered by a 327 with over 375 horsepower Corvette engine with 2 X 4 carbs, The restoration was completed and updated in 1994 with a full cage, on board Halon fire suppression system, fuel cell, and two five-point harnesses. This SCCA Race Car was campaigned out of the Kansas City Region, is street legal, with very nice complete interior, including radio, heater, turn signal, emergency brake, windshield wipers, horn, electric door openers with locks, and roll-up windows. There are less than 200 miles on the car since restoration and only 953 total. The car is finished in Candy Apple Red with Mother of Pearl White stripes. It still has the original drum brakes with which it was originally raced in the 60"s. To be competitive and safer to race, the brakes should be updated to disc, which is allowed under the safety upgrade rules. This unique vintage race car is eager to go racing, featured in car shows, and always a head turning when driven on the street or at the track. This is a great piece of road racing and early America muscle car history. The car is very light, fast, and will really test your driving skills, a very demanding to drive.
