Vehicle description
1965 Factory Five Mk4 Roadster. Kit purchased in 2014. Unfinished kit. No carpet or body work completed. The red color is factory gel coat color. Leather seats, SS side pipes, and chrome accessories, rear battery mount, ceramic headers. The car has a 1966 428 block and 5 spd manual transmission. The motor was rebuilt somewhere around 20 years ago, and has a rear main seal leak, as it is the original cotton seal. There is minor damage to the front left A arm from an incident where the ball joint came undone, as well as some staining from a previous blown oil line. The motor tends to burp coolant from the overflow; possible head gasket leak? - unsure. The e-brake linkage is broken and there is sometimes a loud "clunk" if you get on it, which makes me think either a motor mount or transmission brace is shifting. It"s unfinished, unrefined, still a bit of a project, but a ton of fun to drive.
