Vehicle description
Vehicle Details This 1965 Chevrolet El Camino underwent a number of cosmetic and mechanical updates while with the previous owner. It was acquired by Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker circa 2011 and added to his personal collection. The car was repainted its current Seafoam Green just prior to the ownership change, and a number of other modifications including front disc brakes, an upgraded stereo, and American Racing wheels were installed at the same time. Power is provided by a 350ci V8 that was built by the previous owner, and goes to the rear wheels through a 4-speed 700R4 automatic transmission. A recent service in August 2018 included new fluids and a new battery, among other work, and the car is now offered for sale with a clean California title in the seller’s name. The bed is painted to match and the chrome bed trim is all present. Front disc brakes from Classic Performance Products have been added along with a set of staggered American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels. The interior features a turquoise vinyl bench seat that is accented by a color matched dash, door panels, and carpeting. An AM/FM cassette unit is present in the dash and runs to a custom multi-speaker stereo system. Note the under-dash A/C unit that was recharged during the most recent service. AutoMeter gauges measuring oil pressure and water temperature are present beneath the dash as shown above. The odometer currently shows about 64,950 miles, although true mileage is unknown. The current 350ci V8 was built by the previous owner about 20k miles ago and features a custom exhaust, aluminum radiator, and an aftermarket Edelbrock carburetor that was installed within the past month. It is backed by a 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission. A number of suspension components were updated during the past work, including the shock absorbers and sway bars. Two undercarriage photos showing the condition of the chassis and suspension can be seen in the gallery and a video of the car can be viewed below. This is the cleanest El Camino I have ever seen. This vehicle is a show stopper! ! Images Download the Motors app
