Vehicle description
1965 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, UNRESTORED SURVIVOR! 2 owner car! factory numbers matching 327 V8 engine w/ 365 Horsepower, original Muncie M20 4 speed transmission, Rear end is original with its factory 4.11 gears, odometer shows 45,149 and believe it could be the actual miles, this is a Factory Ignition car, this is a 3 owner car with the 1st owner only owning the car for 3 years and the 2nd owner owned the corvette until this year so long term ownership of this car, The color is Nassau Blue (FF) and is original paint that is very presentable for its age, of course there are imperfections with the typical small checking that occurs with paint this old, ALL bonding strips are in place and paint consistency is the same around the entire car and ALL bonding strips are visible, the only exception with the paint is on the drivers side front lower turn signal area where there is evidence of a repair to the driver turn signal and a small repair about 1/4 way up driver wheel well lip and its difficult to see however the car was nicely spotted around the turn signal area and importantly the bonding strip was not involved in the repair- the rest of the car is absolutley original paint! the interior is untouched as well, the blue factory Leather seats (415 B) are showing some wear with a tear on the drivers seat but still very presentable, carpet is original and faded except under the floor mats and rear stowage area, passenger side carpet has a couple small tears but not enough to warrant replacement, the soft top is original to the car and is correctly date coded with a couple of small imperfections in the top, engine compartment is unrestored with most everything under the hood being original to the car. it is easiest to list the few items not correct so as mentioned this is a factory TI car the original TI distributor (1111060) was replaced under warranty and the current distrubutor (1111157) is a factory correct dated TI distributor that was used on 350 HP TI cars (the original (1111060) distributor comes with the car, the fuel pump is correct replacement, the hoses have all been changed at some point as well as the hose clamps (a set of correct date coded clamps come with the car) current water pump is incorrect but the original (3859326) is rebuilt and comes with the car, the original Harrison radiator was leaking so a new Harrison/Dewitt 100% correct part number/ date coded radiator was installed (original radiator comes with the car) the radiator cap is a correct replacement, also included with the car is a correct set of date coded spark plug wires, the underside of the car is unrestored as you would expect, exhaust pipes are original as well as all muffler clamps, mufflers have been changed at some point, exhaust tips are original, all ground straps are in place, passenger side exhaust pipe heat shield is original to the car, drivers side heat shield is correct replacement, original fuel tank was removed-cleaned and reinstalled, the original power antenna was replaced with a dead on reproduction (original antenna comes with the car) the car recently had the brakes rebuilt and all brake lines were correctly replaced, the spare tire is the original date coded black wall that has never been on the ground, original jack and handle are in place, wheels are original to the car, current tires are from mid 1980"s, everything works as it should except the clock, the car still has 3 out of 4 original T3 headlights, backup lights work, turn signals, dash lights, interior lights, wipers, horn etc, This is a very nice example of an unrestored corvette! the only things changed were to keep the car up and running all of these years,

simply put this corvette is a true survivor and believe by NCRS standards would score well! it has survived the test of time and is in very nice condition for an unrestored car, it starts up easily and drives very well! cars of this quality are hard to find and are special because of its original condition, pre purchase inspections are very welcome and encouraged and this car will bring lots of joy to its new owner and lots of bragging rights of its condition :)
