Vehicle description

I am 82, diagnosed with cancer and congestive heart failure. Recent progression of the condition(s) makes even very simple tasks impossible. Thus, I am selling my 1965 classic VW beetle. Some (most) major and minor items regarding restoration have already been accomplished. For example: 1) New Coker classic WWW tires165-15 plus a new 165-15 BW spare have been installed. 2) The window seals are new and all window glass is clear and okay. 3) New floor pan installed beneath battery compartment and front passenger seat. All other floor pans and heater channels okay. 4) A new steering wheel and horn ring have been installed. The original was cracked badly with a broken horn ring. 5) New interior door handle and window crank accessories installed. 6) The headliner and side panels are new. Thus, the interior is essentially new. 7) The seats are in very good shape. Tan seat covers to match side panels were on my "to do" list as were new floor mats. 8) Installed new 12V interior light. The original was missing. 9) Installed new "lock-down" mechanism for front hood. 10) Installed all new stainless body trim. Paint shows extremely well and all chrome is bright. 11) New exhaust pipes installed. 12) Various other minor discrepancies (to numerous to list) cured. There are no engine or transmission oil leaks or seepage. The engine and transmission work as they should. However, there is an intermittent sound coming from the 12V generator area (a conversion) and some fine carb tuning and adjustment would also be helpful. The intermittent sound seems to have no effect other than being a nuisance. New shocks would also likely be helpful.
I am not marking up my price or seeking profit. I now have $11,845 or roughly $12,000 invested which of course includes the cost of the vehicle. It"s actually a bit more due to various and sundry purchases and other related activities. An extra set of 165-15 BW tires (all in good shape) go with the purchase. In short, the pictures should help tell the story. This is a nice and clean classic vehicle. Inspections welcome. Payment acceptable in cash or certified bank check. All funds must clear before vehicle is picked up. Call Bob at or 304-614-8348 for directions and more information. Many thanks.
