About this vehicle This 1965 Chevrolet El Camino is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle needs work. Vehicle Details 1965 ElCamino This will be sold as a non-driving project, although it starts and moves around under its own power. It will need some repairs and restoration work at your discretion. 327 4barrel carb (sounds like it has a healthy cam setup in it). 4 speed manual transmission (Saginaw), 10 bolt rearend, factory air conditioning. Motor does turn over and start. The clutch pedal works smoothly as it should. I was able to confirm that the 4 speed transmission goes through the gears (on jack stands), I heard no unusual noises from the drivetrain. No brakes at this time, there’s a left front hose leaking fluid. The car came out of Texas, so very little rust showing. The quarter panels appear solid, doors appear solid, front fenders appear solid with the exception of a rust hole about the size of a quarter at the bottom of the passenger side fender. Frame is solid. There is evidence of some floor repairs having been done over the years, the repairs appear to have been welded in and sealed up well. Like many of the older ElCaminos, this one was used as a work truck so it does have some dents and dings overall. I believe that a good body man can work those out. The car has some wiring issues, plan on fixing that. The color of the hood is the original color of the car. I bought this to fix up and use as a driver, I just don’t have the time for it right now. I have another project car to get into my garage, I’ve decided to sell this one rather than leave it sit outside. Clean Title !
