Original 1965 El Camino factory 327 L74 with FI or "double hump" heads. first sold at world famous Felix Chevy in Los Angeles. Still has both original black plates and original rear Felix plate frame. Factory 4 speed with original shifter. Factory black. Factory red interior with bucket seats and original center console. Factory 12 bolt diff. Factory non p/s and non p/b. Factory tac- won"t work. Optional factory dash top clock is "missing" but factory mounting hole in dash is there, check item ebay # 184567904959 it is the clock it needs. Rare dealership installed Rader Mag Wheels. No holes cut for after market speakers. No rust thru in lower rear fenders / inner and outer, there is a very small spot of rust on the driver side rear wheel lip. No rust thru in rockers. No rust thru in front fenders / passenger side is a O.P.G., No rust thru in passenger door, Small rust spot on drivers door- rear lower. No rust thru in rain gutters. No rust thru in bed or tailgate, the bed support in the "smuggler"s box" has been replaced with a exact repo. There was a small rust hole on the p/s toe board so we replaced with exact same sheet metal stamping, there was some surface rust behind the driver seat so we replaced with exact same sheet metal stamping. The factory AC had been removed and made to look non-AC under the hood, ALL the AC parts, every nut-bolt-washer and bracket has been saved in bags that are I.D. Will come with the factory evaporator, condenser, AC / heater box and heater core, AC / heater dash control and compressor and every other large part so if anybody wants to put AC back in, no sheet metal was changed, drilled or cut in anyway when removing all the AC parts. Engine runs real good, very little to no blow-by and trans upshifts and downshifts real good, the motor looks like it has never removed, I did put in a new clutch and pressure plate and clutch bearing- saved parts removed. Engine has real good oil pressure. Engine wiring harness, headlight harness and taillight harness are new- the ribbon harness and under dash harness were fine. Heater works, blinkers blink but wont self cancel. Brake lights work, high and low beams work. License plate lights work. All new body mounts, there was no rust on frame at mount locations. Frame and rockers were pressured cleaned and have multiple coats of Eastwood green internal frame coating. Horns don"t work- relay? Original jack is behind the passenger seat. The spare tire is incorrect, just there for the pic"s. I have the original radio but forgot to put back in before pic"s. The wiper motor gets power but won"t move the wipers, they just shake a bit. Installed a dual master cylinder kit for safety, saved all original parts. Replaced fuel pump- saved one that was replaced as it could be original. All new brakes and hardware, saved all original parts- the car had the heavy-duty RPO J65 brake option on it when new, I saved the rear metallic brake shoes but the fronts were changed out before me. All new brake drums but saved the ones that came off. Installed rear sway bar, saved original lower link arms. Have original hood, it has some rust at leading edge. Overall this is a great project. I did not put windshield in because the padded dash has to be installed first- I was going to put in a black padded dash and change interior to black but the new owner may want to keep it the original red so I"ll leave that up to the new owner. With a windshield and a little more TLC this could be a nice driver as is. PLEASE ask questions before bidding. Please feel free to come by for a look- nothing to hide. This El Camino sat for 20 to 30 years way east of L.A. in a barn, when I got it there was some horse feed behind the seats and some in the bed. BUYER MUST ARRANGE FOR PICK-UP
