Vehicle description

Vehicle Details Awesome Survivor, 1965 Chevy Step Side Short Bed Custom Pickup with 292 Optioned in-Line 6 Cylinder Engine, 3 Speed Manual Transmission, and original type Custom Interior This Truck is owned by a close friend of mine and was purchased new from the Peacock Chevrolet Company in Dublin GA by his uncle. The truck was owned by his uncle until the uncle died in 2011. My friend purchased the truck from the family estate and decided to completely restore the truck back to its original condition. The front end, brakes, tires, and shocks have been rebuilt or replaced as needed. The truck drives and handles and rides like new. The original motor was a 235 6 cylinder that was removed and replaced with a ear correct 292 In-Line six cylinder that has been completely and professionally built. The transmission is the original that has also been rebuilt along with the original rebuilt rear-end. The more powerful and rare 292 engine runs strong with enhanced HP and a lot of torque. The floor pans and body parts were free of rust and straight with no dents or rush other than surface rust and it had never been wrecked. The body was disassembled, and all body parts were striped, sanded and coated with an epoxy sealer and primer. The custom paint is a 2 tone Tan and White 2-stage base coat/clear coat that is the original color for the truck. The top is Rally white and the transition from white to tan is seamless and is all under the clear coat. The interior has been brought back to its original condition and is the brown color and design that was available in 1965 The rear bed tailgate has the Chevrolet lettering layered in under the clear finish so smoothly that you cannot feel where the tan body color stops and the white letters start. The floor of the bed is real solid oak wood that has been fitted, sanded, stained and brought to a high finish level with Spar urethane. top, bottom and all edges were finished and seal to avoid water from wicking into the natural wood causing warping or rotting. Finally, the separating strips and bolts are stainless steel. All instruments, lights, door locks and wiring is either new or restored and working. The truck has heat and defrost along with a retro sound AM/FM stereo with MP3 hook upThe truck also has all new weather stripping and the doors and hood open and close extremely well, having a good solid sound when you close them. The truck is being sold by me as is, where is, I have attempted to describe the truck best as possible so there are no questions. However, I encourage you to review my feedback, come see and drive this great truck. I also have the truck on sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. I can help arrange shipping anywhere in the world at the new owner’s expense. My Name is Bob Davis, and the truck is stored in Vidalia Ga, it is available for review anytime during this auction. My cell number is and I return all calls. The car must be fully paid for before it is released to the new owner. For everyone that looks or bids, good luck and thank you for looking at the truck, it is a beautiful part of American history that has been brought back to the era it was born.
