Vehicle description
1965 CHEVY C20 3/4 ton pickup. Manual Transmission, manual steering, manual brakes. I"m the third owner. Starts, runs and drives as it should. Have made many trips with this pickup from the Seattle area over the Cascade Mountains to Eastern Washington and back without any problems. Odometer reads 51k, I guessing it has 251k miles.
Body: All paint is original, Custom Cab trim is not correct. Lots of dents and scratches. I have tried to show all rusted through areas. Body repairs I have done are replace the passenger fender lower outer skin and inner brace. Repair damaged area on top of tailgate. Both repairs have been left in raw metal. Dried up roof gutter seam sealer removed, metal treated and resealed with automotive seam sealer. Bed wood was replaced by previous owner, bed metal strips are original and some are badly rusted. Windshield is cracked and windshield gasket is also cracked. Comes with original stainless wiper arms. Front license plate is invalid and just for the period look.
All lights and signals working
Auxiliary gas tanks have been removed.
Chassis: Front passenger lower control arm is damaged but works fine. Passenger side rear cab mount has separated and has a bolt though it.
Interior: All gauges work as they should. lower seat cushion foam repaired and cover added, rubber mat has been replaced. The floors have holes rusted through in each front corner that are larger than a golf ball, smaller than a softball. Custom Autosound radio.
Engine: 292 straight six, runs strong and smooth, smokes when first started after has sitting over night. I have no history if it"s the original engine or had any work done. Air cleaner base is held on with thumb screws do to broken air cleaner mounting stud.
Radiator is a copper/brass replacement
Transmission : 4spd SM420, works good.
Clutch: works good
Rear axle: Eaton HO52 4:56 open, works good
Brakes: works good
Exhaust: in good shape
Clean Washington title in my name.
Last pic is not this pickup, just a sample of what can be done
