Vehicle description
Gran Sport package and retains a numbers-matching V8 and 3-speed automatic transmission .
Gran Sport option specified a 425ci Super Wildcat V8 with dual 4-barrel carburetors, hydraulic lifters, and 10.25:1 compression backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission and 3.42:1 Positraction rear differential. Both the engine and transmission were rebuilt by the previous owner, and additional updates were made to the fuel and cooling systems as shown in included records.
A new dash pad by Just Dashes was installed during the previous owner’s refurbishments, which also included an air conditioning system overhaul and update to R134a in 2016.
Exterior trim is shown in detail and the retractable headlight covers are pictured both open and closed. Brightwork is said to show slight pitting and the rubber door seals are noted as showing signs of age. The 15″ wheels are mounted with a set of Sigma Shadow whitewall tires.
This Riviera was optioned with a power seat, air conditioning, power antenna, tilt steering column, Sonomatic stereo, power windows, remote mirror, “tell-tale” speedometer, power steering, and power brakes. The interior carpeting was replaced due to fading, and a factory build card was reportedly uncovered during the process.
The engine is stamped with LX-398 and the serial number above, which match the car’s identification number and included Protect-O-Plate. Photos of the factory data tag and other identifying numbers .
