Vehicle description
Last year of the Hawk line. Less than 2000, were built for the 1964 model year. The South Bend Studebaker operation announced it was ceasing production December 9, 1963, and only a handful of 1964 GT Hawks survive. Built on September 6, 1963, the car was originally shipped to Kitchener Ontario. ( Build Sheet included in sale). Car is mechanically sound. 2 recent trouble free round trips to South Bend from Southern Ontario ( 1000 mile round trip). Interior seats front and back are very good. New alternator in 2017. Body is solid, with no visible rust, there are a two spots where a previous "expert" made some poor repairs. Included are some side windows front and rear, along with left front wheel well trim ( the one on the car has some scuffs). Also will include trim for the fender "fins" and a NOS replacement for vinyl half roof. Engine is a 289 CI Studebaker V8 with a 4 BBL carb. The car also has power steering and brakes, automatic transmission and bucket seats. The car cruises nicely at any speed and the long wheel base makes for a comfy ride. You could pick this car up and drive it home . She is 54 years old, and low mileage. Body is solid, but has had work done on it in the past. Front bumper would look better re-chromed. Great car, I just have too many and am concentrating on my Canadian built Stude"s. Buyer is responsible for arranging and cost of shipping. As I mentioned you could confidently drive this car home.
