Vehicle description

This car was purchased on Bring A Trailer in 2018.You can do an online search for lot 7770 on this car and more photos and info will come up. The owner had it for 3 years and put about 200 miles on it. He then donated it to us. The Arizona Humane Society to raise money to save animal lives. We are the new owner and are listing it now. We are not classic car people. The car is in the same condition as it was 3 years ago and we had a collector appraiser come and tell us it is a 2 rating and very good. That is about all we know. The information below is from the listing 3 years ago. Thanks! The auction lot on bring a trailer in 2018 was 7770. The pictures uploaded to this auction are the car how it sits today. You can go to the above online search to see the pictures from 3 years ago. Thanks! There is also a video on that page when you find it. Again, this info is form 3 years ago. The mileage is now a little higher. We are a nonprofit and had this vehicle donated. We do not know much about it. We did have a classic car expert come and look at it and he rated it a 2. The info below is from 3 years ago. This Shelby Cobra replica shows just over 5,600 miles and was professionally built utilizing a 289 Deluxe Pallet Kit from Unique Motorcars in Gadsden Alabama, which has been in business since 1977. The seller acquired the car 18 months ago and reports that it features a wide-fender body based on a competition version of the 289 Cobra. Power comes from a 1960s Ford 289ci V8 equipped with Edelbrock aluminum heads, a Holley carburetor, MSD ignition, and more as detailed below. The close-ratio Ford Top-loader 4-speed manual transmission has also been fitted with a Girling hydraulic clutch. The seller has added 3,400 miles during his ownership, and the car is titled as a 1964 Cobra. It is now being offered with recent service records, an AC-logo tool bag, Halguard fire extinguisher, vinyl snap-on tonneau cover, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name. The car was built from Unique Motorcars’ 289 Deluxe Pallet Kit, which is reportedly shipped as a complete assembly minus the powertrain, paint, wheels/tires, and battery. This example has been finished in Dodge Patriot Blue Metallic and has never required cosmetic repairs or bodywork to the seller’s knowledge. A few minor rock chips are noted, and the exterior features early-style 289 “Flat Head Snake” Cobra deck emblems. An adjustable coilover suspension system is installed along with a Jaguar independent rear suspension and a 3.31 rear differential. Braking is handled by Wilwood discs all around, and PSE Halibrand-style wheels wear Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires from November 2015. As part of the original build, the interior was fitted with upgraded leather seats, M&R racing harnesses, optional map pockets in the door panels, a dropped foot-box, and deepened footwells for taller drivers. A 289-style dashboard with an inverted triangle gauge layout and period 270-sweep “Sun tach” tachometer are also present. A USB charger is located in the glove box as highlighted in the photo gallery below. A Speedhut GPS speedometer provides built-in timers for measuring 0-60 mph runs and ¼ mile passes. All instrumentation, lighting, and features are said to be working, including the clock. The digital odometer currently shows 5,616 miles. Under the hood is a 1966 Ford Galaxy 289ci V8 with casting number C6AE-6015-C corresponding to December 29, 1965. Several period-correct 289 Cobra styling details have been added, including the valve covers, honeycomb air cleaner, and oil filler cap. An Edelbrock Performer RPM Top End Kit has been installed, which consists of aluminum heads, upgraded camshaft and intake, and more. A Holley 600 double-pumper carburetor and MSD ignition were also fitted, as was an aluminum radiator with dual cooling fans and a TuffStuff 160-amp alternator. A new battery was installed in 2016. The close-ratio Ford Top-loader 4-speed transmission utilizes a Girling hydraulic clutch, and the car reportedly cruises at around 2,800 rpm at 70 mph. Prior to this auction, the engine oil, differential gear oil, and brake fluid was flushed, and new fuel filters were installed. All maintenance records since the seller’s purchase 18 months ago will accompany the sale.
