We are proud to offer this two-owner 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury 2-door hardtop. This car comes from a private collection and has quite a story. The most recent owner, Ron Young, purchased it in 2006 from his college friend and classmate Bill Harris, the original owner. What makes this story a little more interesting is that the original salesman was Charles Young, the father of Ron Young who is the second owner. Mr. Harris kept a great paper trail on this car, which is included in the sale. It is documented with the original window sticker, certi-card, original warranty book, copy of original sales ticket, original owner’s manual, warranty work receipts, as well as service and parts receipts throughout the car’s history. When Mr. Young purchased the car in 2006, he decided to have a ground up restoration done to bring the car back to its original beauty. This was completed in 2007 and the car was then put into his private collection. Because of age and health issues, the car will be offered for the first time to the public for sale. The car was refinished in the correct Ruby red exterior(Basecoat/clearcoat)and retains most of the original black interior. Options include the original 361/265 h.p. V8 engine, 4-/transmission with Hurst shifter, sure grip rear axle with 3:23 gear ratio, power steering, power brakes, and bucket seats with console.
