Vehicle description
General Description: A 1964 Plymouth Fury 2-door coupe in ruby red; VIN 2341117775. Features include a 225 cubic inch slant-6 cylinder engine, push button automatic, AM radio, cozy windows, power steering, seat belts, and white wall tires. This has been a well maintained driver showing an older restoration. Very clean overall. The interior is in nice condition and the car shifts and drives fine other than needing the typical adjustment / attention consistent with a vehicle of this age. I replaced the carburetor with a NOS rebuild just before winter, which may need some additional adjustment. Recently replaced the plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, etc. I"ll also include the carburetor that came with it (which I rebuilt after installing that carburetor that"s currently installed) and any other extras I might have picked up for it along the way .
Condition: I"ve owned it for a little over four years and it"s been one of the most reliable vintage vehicles I"ve owned. From time to time I"ve I"ve heard the odometer cable making some noise so you"re aware. There are a couple of small tears in a couple of the vinyl door panels and upon close inspection, the paint shows some bubbling which presumably occurred after the most recent repaint which I"d guess took place over a decade ago (photographed) . When cleaned and waxed, it looks great though, especially with the pop of the bright red paint color. For the most part, it"s been garage kept and driven very little (Sunday driver) and I"ve enjoyed it. Hate to see it go but need to downsize and buy my youngest son his first car so this one needs to find a new home.
As Is: Given that this is almost a 50 year old vehicle, it"s sold as is with no warranties implied. You"re welcome to come inspect it or arrange for someone to inspect it in Dillsboro, IN but please expect that it will need some minor mechanical adjustments and tuning depending on how critical you are about your vehicles.
Additional Info: Happy to help load or meet purchaser or transport driver. The auction reserve is set well below Hagerty"s estimated value and what I have in the vehicle, so it"s priced to sell. The value on these models has been increasing so should be a nice investment for someone, whether you"re a Mopar collector or just someone looking for a fun Sunday driver.
