RELISTED DUE TO NON-PAYING BIDDER: cellcase4sale
Please, do not bid on this item unless you are able to complete the transaction.
Up for sale is a winter project I never got to. This ultra-rare, all original Continental convertible has 89K original miles. These convertibles have been the hallmark of luxury for generations; servicing presidents, popes and celebrities. 1 of 3328 convertibles built for 1964. This was the first year of the extended wheelbase which yielded additional legroom for rear passengers; making 1964 the most desirable of the run.
As shown in the pictures, the car needs a total restoration. It was last on the road in 2001 according to the registration tag on the license plate. This car is not road-worthy and must be towed. The good news is that the car is complete. Even better, t he engine does run (off a gas can), and I have a video to prove it.
Restored, these cars retail well into the $40K’s with the top tier cresting $100K; which makes the purchase any 61-65 Continental convertible, in any condition, a sound investment.
This car is located in Auburn, MA and will be sold with a clear Ohio Title. As an avid collector of mid-century American luxury cars, I have a dedicated owner-operator that does all my transport. He is currently scheduled to make two drop-offs at my house over the next 4-6 weeks. The buyer as the option to have the car picked up on either occasion and delivered to them at their expense. Pickup location is 3 hours from the ports of ME and NY - international buyers welcome!
$500 non-refundable deposit due immediately following close of auction via PayPal, remaining balance due in 7 days via bank wire transfer. Balance must be paid in full prior to pickup. Bidders with less than 10 feedback must contact me first prior to bidding or their bids will be immediately canceled.
