Vehicle description
Gmc half ton pickup with 8 foot bed. My friends great grandpa bought this truck in 1966 when it was 2 years old. He lived in Ridgecrest CA and used it to drive to work everyday at China Lake. He always kept it in a carport.
Has a rebuilt 1998 Vortec 350 roller cam and lifters with 10:1 compression. Hooker headers. Hooker mufflers. Edelbrock 650 carburetor. Transmission is a Tci Th350 automatic with B&M shifter. Engine and transmission have around 5000 miles on them.
2 years ago I had the truck painted inside and out. Only rust the truck had was 2" size in bottom of fenders and doors. Very minor compared to the rust this generation of usually has. Body color is GM Arrival Blue sprayed in Dupont base/clear coat. Paint quality is nice driver level. Has dings here and there. Nothing a dent pro guy couldn"t get out.
Recently installed new bed floor and strips with Raptor bed liner on bed sides and tailgate. New wheels and tires less than 100 miles on them. New shocks. New battery. New alternator. New spark plug wires. New carpet. New windshield. Only issues truck has are small leak at thermostat housing,original gas gauge and temperature gauge need to be rebuilt. Door glass is original and has some scratches.
