Vehicle description
Same ownership since 1992 , finished in cream over a red interior. Power is from a 390ci V8 which was reportedly rebuilt 15k miles ago in 2012. Additional updates in the past 27 years included refreshment of the powered convertible top, brakes, shocks, driveline, and more. The bumpers were re-chromed and the bright trim was reinstalled with new weatherstripping and moldings. Close-up photos are provided in the gallery below to show the trim, insignia, and blemishes. The front and rear bucket seats are upholstered in a red with cream ribbed inserts. The cruise control is functioning. The foam in the front seats is said to be breaking down, and a popped seam is noted on the lower right driver’s seat. While more recent service addressed the Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission as well as several fluid leaks. The 3-speed automatic transmission was recently overhauled with a new pump, stator, and seals according to the seller, who then had the underside steam cleaned to eliminated sludge from the previous leak. Both front wheel cylinders were replaced in May 2018. Instrumentation includes a horizontal band speedometer along with drum gauges and a transparent gear indicator. The 5-place odometer shows 12k miles and I can say that it rolled over soon after my purchase, with total mileage believed to be 112k. The neutral safety switch was replaced a few hundred miles ago and is said to work, though the gear selector occasionally requires some wiggling. A bill of sale from 1992, an owner’s manual, shop manual, advertisement, and keys will be conveyed to the new owner.
