Vehicle description
This car has had a lot of restoration done and is excellent driver/show quality. I tried to keep it as original as possible and had all the undercarriage components either replaced or remanufactured. The interior seats, door panels and carpet are repro new. The car still has many of its original parts including eyebrow trim, dash, and window chrome. It was stripped down to bare metal, prepped and painted with PPG 9300 Black Concept single stage paint. The metal interior parts were all painted Ford interior red. The car was stored for years in New England but does have some pitting on sale panels and door trim from weather. I had the bumpers, hood boomerang, and sale panels rechromed and used repro parts when available for other trim items. The car was originally a 260 V8 but it had a 302 when I got it. That motor was bad and I replaced it with another 302 from a 1968 Mustang GT. The C4 transmission was overhauled in 2008 by the previous owner. There is always more to do depending on what you want out of the car and if I were to keep it I probably would replace the rear end with one geared higher for better highway driving. I found that I do not have the time to do much with the car except the occasional car show and cruise ins. Feel free to contact me. I want you to feel comfortable bidding on the car. A $500.00 deposit from the winning bidder. The car is in my garage, but I need it picked up within 30 days from end of auction.
