1964 Fiat 500 - Cinquecento - Suicide Doors - Rare, especially in the USA. I"ve sold our house. We have kept this in the garage there when it wasn"t being driven. A fun little car for an enthusiast to take to dinner, the shops, just out for a ride on a nice day. These things are used for daily drivers in Italy but here, they like to stroll.
Without the house, and a garage to keep this, it doesn"t make sense for me to bring it back to NYC with the cost of a monthly garage, and I have to say farewell. It"s been fun. We"ve turned many heads together. Smiles, waves, honks as we pass by. Children running up to us when we park. It almost looks like a toy, but it"s very real and an icon.

The tail has surface rust. Quite common. I was going to get it fixed I just don"t have the time before we close on the house. This is going to cost me because once someone scrapes it and repaints it it"s immediately worth $20k to the right enthusiast. The last year of suicide doors are hard to come by in Italy. . But at $1k per month in the garage in NYC, I"m stuck.
