Vehicle description
Vehicle Details The purpose of this build was to take an average c10 that was a total dog and make it perform in every aspect with out having to spend 60k+ and that’s exactly what has happened. Although, I did spend more and it took a lot more time than what I would’ve liked It to it did come out exactly how I wanted it to. This truck is one of the most fun things out there to drive it does everything you want it to do: It accelerates stops and handles correctly like they should. This truck has that auto cross/pro touring theme for sure it was built like a race car, but with a budget and it may or may not be your cup of tea. It is truly is a super fast truck and was built around a driver in mind not someone who just likes to cruise around, although I guess it will still work for that to so I will list everything that has been done to this thing and you can make up your mind starting with the engine. It was built by east coast performance who professionaly builds race engines. It is a sbc truck block with four bolt mains it has a scat steel heat treated crankshaft with knifed edged counter weights. It has H beam liberty rods with Carrillo forged pistons, a flat tappet cam with solid lifters and hardened pushrods, liberty aluminum heads with dual valve springs and roller rockers and a single plain high rise intake with a 750cfm quick fuel carb on top. It has a 1 3/4” ceramic coated headers with 3” collectors and one of the coolest things out a progression ignition distributor that you can digitally change your ignition timing through your phone with a touch of a finger to maximize your performance at any given rpm, which I have already done. In addition to the distributor, it also has cool features like a built in rev limiter that can be adjusted and also has a lock out feature, the motor makes around 525 hp and 450 torque and has a 10.7:1 compression ratio so you can still run pump gas and the motor can rev up to 7000 rpm although I have the rev limiter set at 6500 to be on the safe side it sounds like a race car lots of fun connected to that is a built Muncie m22 4 speed with a blow proof bell housing metallic ram racing clutch and hydraulic throwout bearing all bullet proof stuff, so down shifting and rev matching is something you can do every time you get behind the wheel of the truck behind that is custom made driveshaft with a sonnax chomoly slip yoke and stange engineering rear end yoke 1350s with aluminum girdles and arp bolts not going to break. It has 12 bolt rear end with a 3.07 gear tons of top end speed truck was solid when I bought so I didn’t need to do tons of body work same for the frame it’s solid as you can see in the photos went with cpp for the suspension it has a quick ratio steering box, tubular upper and lower control arms with 2.5” drop spindles also has 3” drop springs in the front with 5” drop springs in the rear for that low aggressive look with handling in mind also ridetech shocks and big 1 1/8” swaybars front and rear it has a aluminum fuel cell to prevent fuel slosh with braded fuel lines. With that it has a custom made Panhard bar the brakes are wilwood disc all the way around with wilwood metallic racing pads rated up to 1300 degrees so If you take it to the track you’ll be good it has a wilwood master cylinder with a proportioning valve to the rear to adjust brake bias hugging the pavement is nitto’s nto5 tires with 17” aluminum American racing wheels this truck handles great it hugs corners like a bmw, really allowing you to drive this thing. It’s a really good balance of parts and pieces, not like a over powered muscle car that does nothing but burn up tires and go in a straight line. lastly the interior it’s a total race atmosphere with two racing seats harnesses, a suede nascar 15” mpi steering wheel with a custom aluminum dash, and all the gauges this truck has my blood, sweat, and tears that went into it. It was definitely an experience and I hate to have to give it up. I’ll never get all my money back, but I want to build another one and take it a step further. If I had the money I would keep it and just build another one but I don’t. This truck isn’t for everyone and I understand that, but if the things I listed above are of your interest, this may be for you. If it is it’s a great deal, the truck only has one season on it it’s practically brand new. If I had to guess it only has 2-3 thousand miles on it and it’s been great and will for years to come as long as you take care of it per CT law the truck does not require a title and is considered a non-title since its model year is over 20 years old if you have any questions feel free to call or text Al Images Download the Motors app
