1963 VW Beetle – 1200cc – Original Sunroof
This VW runs, drives, shifts and stops as it was designed. Very well maintained, garage kept and unmolested car. Drive train is all original and is in good working order. 72.7 CU. IN. air cooled 1200cc engine with 4-speed manual shift transmission. 12 volt system, with fully functioning lights and horn. This is a VERY nice cruiser that will turn heads everywhere you go!
Drivetrain:
72.7 CU IN 40BHP Engine with 4-speed manual transmission. Car starts up on first try. No smoking, ticking, or any issues at all. Transmission shifts smooth through all the gears and the clutch is in good shape . This car is very reliable and smooth on the streets with the power necessary for highway driving. It is a great cruiser that will get you wherever you want to go!
Body:
The body is very straight and everything operates exactly like it is supposed to. The doors, hood, and trunk operate flawlessly. From what I can tell the paint was refinished. Body sheet metal,floor pan and trunk pan look original. The car was professionally polished and ceramic coated to preserve the finish. This thing shines like crazy! There are some areas opportunity in the paint as there are some minor chips and cracksdue to age, however overall the paint is in great shape. The stainless steel trim and chrome are all in very good shape. This VW looks amazing for being unrestored and 58 Years Old.
Interior:
The interior is in extremely good shape. Everything is all there and very nice. The seats appear to have been reupholstered at some point and are in near perfect shape. There are no rattlesvor noises while driving. The steering wheel was recently replaced as well as the matching grab handle. Sunroof will require attention as it is currently closed and inoperable. Trunk compartment is super clean and in order. All of the gauges work with the exception of the fuel gauge. Horn works perfectly and all the glass is in good shape and operates up and down perfectly as well as the vent windows. SpecialFeatures: 15 Inch Chrome Beauty Rings, Wide White Wall Tires, New Steering Wheel, and Grab Handle. Tinted Rear & Quarter Windows.
