This Volvo was rescued from a damp Warehouse in Houston, Texas. At some point this car underwent some form of restoration. The interior, while not completely factory stock, is complete. It’s a good driver and needs someone to take it to the next level. Over $8k invested on top of the purchase price.
Repairs/Upgrades - B18 - .040 over - Moly rings - C-cam - New water pump - New fuel pump - Front suspension completely rebuilt - Resurfaced front discs - New calipers - New master cylinder - All new brake lines front to rear - Braking system rebuilt - New fuel line - New gas tank and sender - Currently running an M40 transmission w/ 122 driveshaft - New clutch and throw out bearing - New Clutch MC - New tires including spare - New check straps on rear axle - Rear end, drained and serviced w/ new axle seals - Aluminum radiator - Alternator conversion - 123 electronic distributor - Running aftermarket tach & temp gauge - Under dash CD player/radio - 2 new pioneer 16x9 rear speakers - LED light conversion where possible - 2” sport exhaust - Patriot Exhaust Header H4851 - SU carbs rebuilt - Working fuel gauge - Working oil pressure gauge - Working speedometer - Comes with nice spare uncut dash trim with original radio holes
Needs - paint is fair but as can be seen in photos will need a respray
- Rust repair (overall what is expected w/ an 1800)
- Rockers - Battery tray area (patched once before) - Door bottoms (potentially) - A few cross braces underneath have some rot - Floors are overall very solid but the passenger and driver foot wells need repair on the outside near fenders - Trunk area floor will need some patching. Rust stopper was applied and temporary patches put in to seal things off. This was not intended to be a long term solution as there was no attempt to hide it. - Chrome is in fair condition but all pieces have flaws, scratches and or chipping chrome
- Needs weatherstripping
- Needs new windshield
- Needs heater system restored but complete
- Heater Core leaks - Fan motor needs rebuilt - Valve needs replacing - Comes with brake booster but will need rebuilt- Comes with M41 trans w/ overdrive but needs repair (most likely the OD unit)
- Comes with spare OD for parts
- Comes with correct drive shaft
- Original tachometer “works” but does not read properly
- Original temp gauge non functional
- Original clock does not work
- Mostly original wiring
- Rear suspension is still original and needs rebuilt
- Secondary horn switch not workingIncluded will be spare parts acquired during restoration
I am very aware of all that this car needs but it is still a very solid candidate for restoration. Please feel free to message me with any questions.
Thanks!
